How parking fines increase
Amount due is calculated from the date the citation was issued, not when you look it up.
- Within 30 days of issuance — pay the original fine (1×).
- After 30 days — the fine doubles (2×).
- After 60 days — the fine doubles again (4× the original amount).
- After 60 days — your vehicle tag may be flagged and suspended. The citation must be paid in full to lift the suspension.
Example: $30 original → $60 after 30 days → $120 after 60 days.
