Special Services
 
 
The Princess Anne Police Department provides a number of special services to the citizens of Princess Anne and Somerset County.  These services include the following:
 
SWAT:  This is a team of specially trained officers who respond to incidents that include barricade situations, large fights and or riots, hostage situations, entries for search warrants, and all other incidents that require specialized training.
 
COMMAND VEHICLE:  This vehicle is a large box type truck which contains a generator and is has multiple uses that include a mobile mini substation, a mobile command post for incidents that include large crimes scenes, ongoing investigations, natural disasters, prolonged on scene incidents that include HAZMAT, hostage negotiations and more.
 
INVESTIGATIONS: The Princess Anne Police Department has a full service investigation section. Captain Gadomski and Detective Sergeant Bozman follow up all serious crimes committed within the town limits.  They also process all crime scenes that involve serious felony offenses.
 
K-9:  The Princess Anne Police Department currently has two K-9 units. Sgt. Taylor and Cpl. Pinchak K-9 units both work tracking adn CDS detection.
 
SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER:  The Princess Anne Police Department currently provides an officer to the Princess Anne Primary School and Greenwood Elementary School. Corporal Timothy Bozman splits his time between both schools when he is not assisting with investigations.
 
DARE:  School Resource Officer Cpl. Timothy Bozman is a certified DARE instructor and teaches DARE in both Princess Anne Primary School and Greenwood Elementary School.  This program teaches students about the danger of drug use. 
 
CSAFE:  The Princess Anne Police Department has participated in the CSAFE initiative for the past seven years.  This initiative is based out of the South Street Sub-station at 11507 Somerset Ave.  CSAFE is an acronym for Collaborative Supervision and Focused Enforcement.  The program enables the police department to work with other agencies and citizens to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in the community.
